Aramia River
Aramia River
Located on the south west of Papua New Guinea, this majestic river is surrounded by more than 1,500 square kilometres of flood plains and stretches 463km into the heart of Western Province.
Flying into Aramia River via a Twin Otter charter plane, you'll visit this amazing region which is home to the Gogodala people, who's rich history and culture is a high light on our tour. Their art and ancient practice of building giant long houses that accommodate the whole village and traditional war canoes capable of holding 50 warriors, is a sight to behold.
Expect Papuan Black Bass, Barramundi, Saratoga, Niugini Tiger Fish and Saw Fish.
This largely unexplored area offers clients a rare opportunity to experience mind blowing fish catches coupled with an amazing traditional cultural experience.
