ABOUT
Papua New Guinea is an island country in the southwestern Pacific Ocean. It encompasses the eastern half of New Guinea, the world’s second largest island; the Bismarck Archipelago (New Britain, New Ireland, the Admiralty Islands, and several others); Bougainville and Buka (part of the Solomon Islands chain); and small offshore islands and atolls. The national capital, Port Moresby, is located in southeastern New Guinea on the Coral Sea.
Due to its tropical location, the country offers 2 main fishing seasons; the Wet and the Dry. Avoiding the South-Easterly winds during the Wet season (December - May), we head out to sea targeting our beloved Giant Trevally, Dogtooth Tuna, and other reef and pelagic species. During the Dry season (June - November), when the rivers are at their lowest levels, we head into the most remote river spots to target the PNG Black Bass and Barramundi. Having 2 main seasons, we are lucky to be able to fish year-round.

4th Generation Papua New Guinean born Chinese, and PNG Citizen pioneered the PNG Black Bass fishing industry in Papua New Guinea. He founded SFPNG alone and started guided tours by himself in the infant stages of the business. Previous holder of the IGFA (International Game Fish Association) world record for the Papuan Black Bass, he has a wealth of experience under his belt and has run fishing charters in the country for over 15 years.
Leading a team of young and innovative guides, he ensures that all trips run smooth and clients experience the adventure of a lifetime.
